Having organized events as early as high school, Diane Poland has many years of experience in creating memorable weddings, birthdays, luncheons, conventions, along with public service events for the United States Postal Service. Diane's working experience started at the age of 16 when she became a secretarial high school Co-op with IBM hosting her first luncheon for the Cooperative Business Education program which she served as Vice President. She was also an Executive Secretary for the Boca Raton Hotel and Club which enabled her to experience hosting many events. Working as a clerk for the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Boca Raton opened yet another door to her participation in the very first "Avenue of the Arts" show, assisting with the creation of schedules and programs for the event. As an employee holding many different positions and titles of the USPS for 27 years, which included local and state union director positions, along with her last position as Postmaster, she had organized many seminars, many public service events, and even a union convention for the state of FL APWU, not to mention educational seminars. Recently Diane had to seek out early retirement from the USPS due to health reasons, hence her need to "organize" for her own corporation. Diane Poland has been attending art, arts and crafts, music, horse, dog, and even bird shows for over 35 years. She brings many years of experience in organizing events to our organization.
Diane Poland sought out the world of lampwork glass and artistic jewelry design when she befriended her mentor, Wendy Witchner. Needing an avenue of creativity when she first left the USPS Diane met Wendy and Wendy introduced her to art shows, not as a spectator but as a participant. Traveling to different art shows throughout the country (AZ, FL, GA, IL, MI, MN, WI) Wendy opened Diane's eyes to events that she had always viewed as a consumer instead of vendor. Standing behind a booth table has taught Diane what artists go through on a daily basis in the art show world. During those travels artistic jewelry and lampwork glass became a creative motivator, and DTL Designs by Diane E Poland was created. Soon she was working behind her own booth at art shows and other venues in the state of FL.

Our jury committe changes from show to show, and we change jury members depending on the need, and the show we are attempting to organize. We want our artists to know their results if asked. If you want advice on your photos we will give you our opinion, however, that does not mean you will be guaranteed entry into future shows. We cannot guarantee that our advice will enable your photos of booth and artwork to be accepted by other art shows like Winter Park or other leading art venues.
We can only offer opinion and guidance. Whether you choose to use that advice is up to you. We do not require modular booth set ups. We respect an artist's right to create their own booth space. However, we do expect your booth to have more than tables and cloth with pieces plopped down. We would expect to see proper packaging, professional displays that enhance and promote your work with professional business cards. If you do not have a proper booth shot/booth display you may have trouble being jured into any show.
